Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Janie Lorenzo

Matron of Honor

Sara's college roommate for two years. Janie is part of the "dynamic" and the "roommates." Having been through this process last year, Janie has been Sara's right hand woman for "what do I do?!" questions. Janie and Sara can commonly be found trying a new health product or workout class, sending each other pump up workout songs, or dancing their hearts out at a dive bar (and they're not afraid to get up on stage either). Janie is a mastermind when it comes to finding clothes online. If you see someone out in the wild wearing something you like - Janie can find it in less than a minute for you. Janie can usually be spotted wearing puffy sleeves and having a coffee, smoothie, or fun cocktail in her hand. If you need to add a little sparkle and sunshine to your weekend - find Janie!

Chloe Schaefer

Maid of Honor

Sara's first friend at Elon and roommate for 3 of the 4 years. Chloe is part of the "dynamic" and "roommates" as well. Sara would not be who she is today without Chloe. During college, Chloe and Sara could always be found on an elevated surface at a fraternity party or ending their night at Taco Bell. Sara and Chloe are both reality TV show fanatics and are often texting incessantly about all things reality TV. Chloe knows all the best spots for food in any city, so if you need a rec, she is the one to ask. Chloe can be found twirling her wrist on the dance floor, assessing the passed apps, and cheering us all on as she is everyone's biggest fan. She is also dating Mark's groomsmen, Nick, who can be found doing the Macarena while Chloe is twirling her wrists.

Sophia Valianatos

Maid of Honor

Sara's college roommate for two years. Sophia is part of the "dynamic" and "roommates" as well. Sara and Sophia spent four years together in New York where Sara would often move in with Sophia for the weekend when she lived in Greenwich. Sophia and Sara did anything and everything together in NYC. From new dinner spots, frequent karaoke dates, or wandering around the city exploring new spots, Sophia was Sara's go-to girl. Sophia knew Mark before Sara did when she met her now Fiancé (Jeff Sansone-Groomsman) studying abroad in Barcelona. Sophia, Sara, Mark, and Jeff have spent countless Sundays together in Jeff and Mark's apartment in NYC having family dinners. Sophia will be easy to spot as she will probably be the best dancer on the dance floor.

Emma Weyn

Bridesmaid

Sara met Emma when she was 10 years old when Sara transferred to Hathaway Brown School. Since then, they have attended middle school, high school, and even college together at Elon University. They were freshman year roommates who even bought a dog together (and then returned it...ask Emma or Sara if you want the full story). Sara and Emma can often be caught running together whether it's a half marathon or full! They've conquered some of the roads, and life's, biggest challenges together and are often referred to as the "pixies" by their high school friends. Emma can often be found dropping some serious wisdom to Sara as she has such a way with words. Get ready to hear some of that wisdom, because you will find her making a speech at the Welcome Dinner!

Liza Daroff

Bridesmaid

Sara's oldest friend. Sara has known Liza since she was eight years old at Gilmour Day Camp. Liza and her mom found Sara on the first day of camp where Sara was anxious to be away from her mom, and they instantly became best friends. That is until their mutual crush Dominick almost tore them apart. Liza is the reason Sara transferred to Hathaway Brown School due to her yearly invites to "Bring a Friend Day." From there, Liza and Sara danced together at Shaker Dance Academy for far too many years. Now, it has officially been 20 years and counting of their friendship...

Sara Heath

Bridesmaid

Sara met Sara (LOL) her first day of Freshman year at Elon University. They were in the same philosophy class together where Sara C remembers Sara H asking her incessant questions about becoming a teacher. From there, Sara H entered into the Education School at Elon where Sara and Sara had many classes together. Post college, they both moved to New York City where they spent many nights and weekends creating more memories together. They were roommates when Sara C first moved to New York City. Get Sara and Sara together and you know you are in for a good time.

Shelby Jagel

Bridesmaid

Sara met Shelby during Greenwich Academy orientation. They were both Associate Teachers together who would then go on to go to grad school together, become roommates together, and both be asked to be full time hires at GA together. Basically, they did everything together. Sara and Shelby have lived their lives in sync since they first met and they don't plan on stopping now. Shelby is always down for an adventure and is Sara's go-to activity buddy. Shelby and Sara have been through many different stages of each other's lives in the past four years and have constantly pushed each other to go for the next big thing. If you want to find someone who can, and has, done it all, go talk to Shelby Jagel.

Madison Goetzmann

Bridesmaid

Sara met Madison five years ago at Santacon and they instantly clicked. During that day, in fact, Sara spent so much time talking to Madison that Mark wondered if Sara had left the party altogether. The same rings true today. Sara and Madison are two peas in a pod whenever they are together. They can either be found laughing at their own jokes or at Harvest on Main St (go check it out in Park City!). Either way, Madison is always teaching Sara something new and thrilling as she lives vicariously through Madison and her exciting life.

Matthew Goetzmann

Best Man

Most commonly known as "Chuggie" (it hurt just writing Matthew). Chuggie is Mark's younger brother. And he takes his role very seriously. So seriously in fact, that he has followed Mark into every single one of his footsteps. From going to school down in North Carolina, to being in the same fraternity, to then both working at Barclay's in New York City, there is no where that Mark has gone that Chuggie won't go. Does this mean a Denver move in the Fall of 2024? We'd put our money on it! You can find Chuggie making a speech at the wedding.

Michael Goetzmann

Best Man

Michael is Mark's younger, albeit wiser, brother. Growing up, the Goetzmann boys spent a lot of time in nature. Mark knew that if Michael was around, nothing could go wrong....most of the time. Michael is an encyclopedia with nature, science, and animal facts. Ask him anything - you can't stump him! Trust me, as his older brother, I've tried! You can find Michael and his springer spaniel, Finn, attached at the hip anywhere he goes. If you have any questions about what to do, where to go, and what to see while in Utah, Michael has hiked, biked, and skied almost every trail out there!

Jeff Sansone

Groomsman

Jeff was one of Mark's first friends at Elon, roommate for three of the four years, and roommate during Mark's last year in NYC. However, the two could not be more opposite. Mark is very tall, Jeff, not as tall....Mark loves nature and adventure, Jeff loves anything but. Yet - they're two peas in a pod! They have traveled the world together always finding the best spots for authentic food. Jeff is Mark's shellfish buddy since he can't eat it with Sara. And now, they continue their love for golf together, ditching Sara and Sophia any chance they get. All's well that ends well though, because Sara and Jeff have become just as close of friends. You can find him making a speech at the wedding!

Mike Yenke

Groomsman

Mark met Yenke freshman year of college as the most classic Boston sports fan - loud, proud, and sometimes a little crazy. In fact, the first time Mark met him, Yenke was wearing a patriots jersey. However, once you get past this layer, Yenke is the most loyal friend you could have. Mark and Yenke played club lacrosse together at Elon where they bonded over their love for competition. After graduation, they have enjoyed skiing together and pushing each other as they both make their way through the real estate world. Yenke is the one friend that Mark could call at any point with a new adventure in mind, and Yenke would be there in a heartbeat. Additionally, Yenke has most notoriously been crowned the third resident at Mark and Sara's house in Denver. Walk into their home, and you can most likely find Yenke there grilling up steaks and giving Millie a pork ear.

Tyler Deluca

Groomsman

Mark met Deluca freshman year of college. He was the only person in their 15 person fraternity pledge class that Mark didn't know. Deluca started out as the kid who couldn't stop talking, but soon turned into one of Mark's best friends. Deluca is one of the most easy-going, loyal, guys you will meet. He's often been labeled "MVP" by Sara and her friends as he can always be found putting others before himself. Deluca and Mark were roommates for three years in New York City. Everywhere Mark went, Deluca would follow. Not only because he was the only friend with a car, but because he was always ready for a new adventure. Just about every top memory Mark has had post graduation, Deluca has been there.

Tyler Strods

Groomsman

Mark met Ty in seventh grade at a Skaneateles summer lacrosse camp, but it wasn't until Mark moved back to Skaneateles in ninth grade that they became close. Throughout high school, you knew you could always find Ty in the Goetzmann basement. After college, Mark and Ty lived together in New York City for the next three years. During their time in NYC the two still found as much outdoor adventure as they could. On Sundays they could be found rollerblading or biking through the streets of NYC - traffic was not stopping them. They like to think of themselves as NYC Late Night Pizza Connoisseurs so if you need a spot, they are your go-tos! Lastly, Mark can attribute his love for golf to Ty who would continuously drag him out on the course no matter how many balls he lost or shots he shanked.

Nick Hyland

Groomsman

Mark met Nick when he moved to Skaneateles in ninth grade and became close as they were the most entertaining benchwarmers on the JV basketball team together. Mark quickly realized how much of an intellect Nick was and that Mark needed to utilize Nick as a resource in order to pass high school. Mark would often ask Nick for writing samples "to get ideas" for writing his own essays for school. Nick is one of the smartest, but also most kind, friends he has - he couldn't hurt a ladybug! Additionally, Nick lived in Denver during Mark's first year out there and the two spent many Sunday footballs together as well as training for the triple bypass race (118 mile bike ride in the mountains) together. You can find Nick doing the Macarena on the dance floor with his girlfriend Chloe (Sara's Maid of Honor!) all night long.

Kevin Goetzmann

Groomsman

Kevin and Mark have known each other...well...forever! Sometimes it's hard to remember they are cousins as they are also very close friends. Kevin and Mark have grown up together, but it was when Mark moved to Skaneateles that their relationship was able to grow even stronger. Mark and Kevin share their love for the Bills, mountain biking, and any chance they have to experience a new adventure together. The first year Mark moved to Denver, Kevin had the idea to sign up for an 118 mile bike race through the mountains, which Mark thought sounded crazy, but agreed to do. Mark and Kevin spent many hours together training for the race as well as exploring new mountain towns along the way.

Zoe Loveman

Officiant

Zoe is one of Sara's cousins and biggest role models. Whether on the pickle ball court or running together on the roads, Sara and Zoe always seem to make it a competition. If you see Zoe, or Sara, wearing something that you like - chances are the other one also has that too as they commonly, and fortuitously, own the same items. Just check out their engagement rings! They're an exact replica of one another. Zoe was Mark's right hand woman in the ring designing process. Additionally, as Zoe recently got married a few years ago, Sara lived vicariously through Zoe's entire planning process. Now, roles are reversed, and Zoe has been like a big sister helping Sara, answering her questions, thinking about the little details, and reminding her to chill out. We can't think of anyone better to help us make this official!
