Question

Are the ceremony and the reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes. Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Old Wide Awake Plantation with a cocktail hour in between.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes. There is plenty of parking at the venue site. Once you arrive at Old Wide Awake Plantation, follow the signs for parking. In the interest of safety, the gracious owners of the plantation have given permission for you to leave your car overnight if you are unable to drive safely following the wedding.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we would absolutely love for everyone's children to be there, we are unable to accommodate children at the wedding or reception. Because we have so many wonderful friends and family we want to be with us on our special day, our venue simply cannot hold the amount of people it would require if children came as well. Most importantly, our wedding and reception site is located directly adjacent to a large unguarded body of water, creating an immediate safety risk for children. We are more than happy to do everything we can to connect you with childcare providers our family and friends use and recommend in the area.
