Groom
Maid of Honor
Rylan is not only the sister of the bride, but has been a built in best friend since the day she was born. Rylan currently lives in Chicago, Illinois completing her last year of law school at Loyola University. Although the bride and maid of honor have lived a majority of their adult life apart, when they see each other no time has passed. Standing at a whopping 5'2", Rylan knows more about the NBA than any girl I know. She is also an unofficial horticulturist (if you need advice on plant care - she is your girl).
Best Man
John is the older brother of the groom. Growing up they did everything together. from paintballing at the neighbors, marching band, swim team, and making late night burrito runs to their local favorite spot. John told Mark one time that he waited through a whole green-light cycle without honking at the person in front of him. Needless to say he was an easy choice for the best man. John even hid in the neighbor's fishing boat the night Kylie and Mark got engaged just to get the perfect shot for Kylie's mom.
Matron of Honor
Not many people have been friends since first grade and still consider be "best friends". If you see the bride and her matron of honor together, you can tell these two have never missed a beat. Taylor got married to the love of her life in 2019 and she works as pediatric nurse in Dallas, TX. From being childhood neighbors, studying abroad, nursing school, and working at the same hospital they have conquered major live stages together. Taylor has the sweetest soul and also is the BEST baker of sweet treats!
Groomsman
Jake is Mark's college best friend and roommate. He initially became friends with Mark's roommate but realized the quiet guy in the corner was more fun to hang out with. Jake and Mark bonded over trips to Cedar Falls in Jake's tiny Jetta that they could barely fit in. Jake now lives outside Davenport with his wife Makenzie (who he met on a night hanging out with Mark) and their two kids. In his spare time, Jake enjoys styling his son's mullet and throwing fantastic tea parties with his daughter.
Bridesmaid
These two ladies met their freshman year at college in their sorority and become best friends within that first year. Through spring break trips, a vacation to Mexico, sharing their first apartment together, and many trips to their local favorite, Killer's Tacos, they shared memories and experiences that made them lifelong friends. Emily currently is travel nursing and spends her free time loving on her dog, Lola. Emily was (and still is) the same ray of sunshine that can turn any day into the best day ever.
Groomsman
Dillon is Mark's roommate through all four years and three different apartments in dental school. Dillon even had to endure sharing a tent with Mark's snoring on several RAGBRAI adventures. The man is either a saint or hard of hearing. Dillon loves the University of Kansas basketball and rarely misses a game. He may need some coaxing onto the dance floor but he's one of the originators of the "Blame It On The Boogie" dance that is almost certain to be featured at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
Kylie and Alex met in nursing school and to say the friendship was a blessing would be an understatement. All the grueling hours of endless studying on the weekend and morning coffee with a good friend made the time memorable (even though we were miserable). Alex is also a hematology/oncology nurse in Dallas, TX working at the same hospital with the bride and Taylor. Alex is married to the love of her live and they are going to deliver a beautiful baby girl in the next week! So exciting! The almost newlyweds are so excited for her and her husband and are so thankful for their friendship in the last few years.
Groomsman
Kenny is one of Mark's close friends from dental school. Their friendship really grew on spring break road trips and trips home. Needless to say, Kenny wants no part of Mark's snoring. Mark even found out that Kenny's dad and him have the same middle name one New Year's Eve after Mark went roaming around his parents' house looking for his brother and accidentally wandered into his parent's room. Kenny now lives in Fargo with his wife, Sarah, and their beautiful baby girl Lucille.
Bridesmaid
Friends from college, Kristen and Kylie became inseparable in an unexpected friendship. Kristen currently resides in Seattle, Washington working in medical device sales as an imaging and resection specialist. Kristen is the first person to give her shirt off her back to a friend in need and is the wittiest person the bride knows. When Mark and Kylie first started dating, Kristen and Mark became fast friends watching The Amazing Race reruns while Kylie was working night shift. At one point, Kristen even joked "Who's side of the wedding will I stand on?"
Groomsman
Cody is one of Mark's oldest friends. Mark and Cody became friends in middle school and spent countless hours at each others houses playing Madden and other video games. Mark was always the Chicago Bears and Cody was always the Minnesota Vikings. Cody drove several hours out of the way, after his own bachelor party, to pick up Mark who was stranded with a busted truck. Cody is always the first person to help his friends when they need it. Cody now lives in Minnesota with his wife Krista and their young son Landry. His wife is expecting their second boy any day.
Honor Attendant
Freckle's is Mark and Kylie little Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix. He destroyed headphones, xbox controllers, DVDs, Kylie's shoes, and furniture when Mark first adopted him. Now he just enjoys cuddling on the couch and hiding treats. He will always be the first one to grab either Mark or Kylie's socks depending on which one is working that day and bring them to you. Unfortunately, he already had plans this weekend and was unable to attend.
