*told by Kristy* It all started back at Brookfield High School. Strangely enough Mark and I had only ever had one class together and that class was art class. Mark and I both looked forward to that class every day. I had strongly thought about taking shop instead of art. Boy am I glad I stuck with my gut all those years ago and took up art class. Now fast forward a small 15 years or so… I decided to message Mark and see if he wanted to go out sometime. He replied back and the rest is history. Not. Mark and I have both been through the ringer in our past relationships. Once we both were able to heal ourselves we truly started to connect with each other. Did I run from him? Like a few times? Sure. After you go through something terrible, “good” and “healthy” can feel just downright wrong. But this man has more patience than a typical person. He is my calm in this world. He is steady. He is the kindest and most thoughtful man I have ever met. He truly does show me 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 on a daily basis and I adore him for it. He has healed a heart he did not break and loves Chase as much as he loves me. We got engaged at the PPG Skating Rink on December 14th, 2024. He acted like he fell on the ice and asked me to marry him. It was the cutest moment. Everyone on the ice stopped to watch us get engaged. I will remember the moment forever. …… I love you, Mark. I cannot wait to be your wife. Thank you for sticking around through all my healing crap. Here’s to us.
