Quips Pub

Quips Pub

457 New Holland Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17602
, (717) 397-3903

Located directly across the street from the Cork Factory's parking lot, this friendly English pub is where the party will continue after the wedding ends. Hope you join us :) We pride ourselves in being one of the oldest establishments in Lancaster. Our Inn was first built before the Civil War, where it served as the Stock Yard Hotel for Mentzer's Stock Yards, which were formerly located behind the Inn. Later, in the 1860s, 70s and 80s, we were still a popular gathering spot for folks coming to the Lancaster County Agricultural Fairs, the County Fairs, and concerts at McGrann Park, all of which took place in the Stock Yards location. Our tradition of hospitality continued in the 1900's, as our site was Zeigler's Hotel. Quips opened under the present ownership in 1984. The Quips Pub name came about after a game of Cardinal Puff with Cedric Charles Dickens, the great-grandson of Charles Dickens. In honor of Dickens, we have named our entrees after characters in his novels.

Horse Inn

Horse Inn

540 East Fulton Street, Lancaster, PA 17602
, (717) 392-5528

Slightly off the beaten path, the Horse Inn restaurant has spent several generations striving to please its guests in Lancaster, PA. The main entrance was at one time on a narrow alleyway which, to this day, remains unnamed. In the early 1920s, the Shaub family renovated the second floor hayloft into a speakeasy. The original horse stalls were transported upstairs where wagon wheel chandeliers adorn the dining room. The new owners of the Horse Inn, Matt and Starla Russell, have made several improvements to both the building and the menu. There are now two full bars and seating areas and a new, more accessible entrance on Fulton Street. Daily fresh ingredients and the use of local sources are crucial to Matt and Starla, who change the menu based on what is garden-fresh and in season. Don't worry; the infamous tenderloin tips on toast remain on the menu. The rich, brilliant dishes and one-of-a-kind cocktails will make you feel right at home.

Lancaster Central Market

Lancaster Central Market

23 North Market Street, Lancaster, PA 17603
, (717) 735-6890

Designated as a market town in 1730, the City of Lancaster is home to Lancaster Central Market, the oldest, continuously running public farmers’ market in the country. More than 60 local vendors call the beautiful 1889 Market House home three days each week, when it opens its doors to welcome the surrounding community. A step inside is sure to highlight all that Lancaster County has to offer. A walk through its aisles will find an abundance of produce from the deeply nutrient-rich soils native to the local landscape; an array of prepared foods representing the proud cultural diversity of the county; and locally sourced meat, poultry, cheeses, and more.
