We're Getting Married!

We’ve created this website as a convenient and interactive way to share all of the important details with you in the lead up to our wedding. Thank you for your ongoing love and support! We are so excited to share this day with you and look forward to celebrating with all of our favorite people! (Please note that the wedding ceremony and reception are on a Sunday)

Late summer of 2018, Mark and Karissa matched on the dating app, Hinge. Karissa was drawn towards Mark's adventurous and kind-hearted personality and Mark to Karissa's love for travel and heart melting smile. They quickly introduced each other to one another's friends and families and soon began planning their next adventure. In the summer of 2019, Mark and Karissa travelled to Portugal together and experienced ALL that Lisbon, Sintra, and Madeira had to offer. The week was so jam-packed that by the end, Mark swore to never let Karissa plan the itinerary again. Though that didn't last for long because the two continued to travel together on ski trips and other ventures. In the summer of 2020, exactly two years after they had met, Mark proposed to Karissa at the top of Stowe Mountain in Vermont. After teaching Karissa an Arabic word-of-the-day for two months, at the top of Stowe Mark asked, "Are you ready for your word of the day? I think you'll remember this one..." He then said, "بتتزوجيني" to which Karissa replied, "What does that mean?" Mark replied in English saying, "Will you marry me?" Karissa was so surprised and the two could not wait to begin planning their wedding!
