Our story begins at a place that has a special place in both of our hearts. I was coming out to Sill Creek that day to help with the boys basketball team and I got there a little early that day. Kaitlin was coaching volleyball at the time. I was waiting in the front office for practice to start and Kaitlin was making copies at the same time. We sat in the front office for a little bit before Kaitlin worked up the nerve to try and boss me around. She told me to get her some copies from the printer. I did it because I decided to be nice. I guess that gave her the impression that she could then DM me on Instagram. Once she messaged me she tried to come up with a clever way to get me to go to a candy store with her and it worked. After that our connection was instant. I could have proposed that same day and still be as confident in my decision as I am now.
I planned a reservation at Christopher's to celebrate our one year anniversary. I asked Kaitlin if she wanted to go walk around at George Bush Library prior to going to dinner to take pictures. She had no idea what was going on and was actually more interested in the sword some guy was swinging around than me. When I asked the question she took a minute to turn around and actually realize what was happening. As you probably can guess she said Yes! We cannot wait to see everyone in January!
