We are getting married!!

After meeting in PT school at Grand Valley, they became fast friends. Due to focusing on school/careers and not knowing where their futures would take them, they never pursued more than friendship throughout school. It wasn't until 3 years later, staying very close throughout the years, that Mark asked Kacy out. Her answer, "Sure." It wasn't due to lack of interest but to sheer shock of imagining that moment playing out in her mind a thousand times and not believing it was really happening. Their first date consisted of an elaborately planned night by Mark who was really trying to impress Kacy but little did he know, he could've taken her to McDonalds and she would've been more than happy just to be on a date with him. There were multiple restaurants involved, walking around Grand Rapids (the city where they met), a dueling piano bar, among other things just to keep the night going because neither of them wanted the night to end. It was after that night that they both knew there was no one else in the world they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with then each other. After dating for 1 year, to the day, Mark asked Kacy to marry him and she thinks she said yes or absolutely or maybe nothing at all and just stuck her hand out (from shock and overwhelming happiness). And the rest is history.
