Matron of Honor
Living in Savannah, GA. with her fantastic family, Heather is my rock, my sister, my travel companion, my running friend, hot mom to Lilo, fabulous, beautiful, fun, inspirational, brilliant, kick ass Heather! We have been through it all. There will never be enough time in the world to repay her for all that she has done for me. I love her with all of my heart.
Best Man
Jeremy Sweet, the pride of Hamilton High School, is the best best man anyone could have. We met on the hardwood floors of Mesquite Junior High School, and the rest is history. Whether it be basketball, tennis, ping pong or Words with Friends, you can find us fueling our competitive fire. Jeremy is a wonderful husband, father, teacher, coach, and friend. He has been there for me at the most critical times in my life, and I am so grateful for his friendship.
Maid of Honor
Adri is the striking redhead from West Palm Beach, FL. via Hialeah and she is everything to me. I can't even begin to describe how much this incredible person has done for me and will never be able to thank her enough. Mom of 3, research professional, friend, daughter, sister...she does it all. She is the modern day superwoman and I love her!
Groomsman
Quoting movie lines and TV shows since 1978, my cousin Jeremy and I have been nearly inseparable throughout most of our lives-we even moved to the Phoenix area from Oregon within a year of each other. Jeremy has a heart of gold and is always willing to lend a helping hand. It's been so great to have a family member and a close friend to share great times with during my time in Arizona, and I'm sure there are many more fun times to come.
Bridesmaid
Ashlie is our gorgeous bridesmaid from Gilbert, Arizona. Wife to Jeremy Sweet, our best man, and new mom of Briggs! An amazing, strong woman that we love so very much! When I first met her, I was nervous. After all, she was family to Mark. But she did nothing but always make me feel comfortable and welcome and I can say today she is now part of my family as well.
Groomsman
I feel so blessed that my son Cody can share this wedding experience with me. Whether in my freshman English class, out on the tennis court, playing video games together or watching our favorite TV shows, Cody displays a wonderful mix of humor, intelligence, respect and thoughtfulness that makes me a very proud dad. Cody is turning into fine young man and will soon become the dominant tennis player in the family.
Bridesmaid
Phoenix beauty via New York. This woman is so brave and has taught me so much. I can say anything to her, and in my world, that keeps me sane. She helps people every day and her spirit is unparalleled. It's so wonderful when you meet someone who speaks your language and who would kick ass for you at the drop of a hat! Thank you Jennifer for all you do, your friendship and sisterhood and who you are as a person. The world is so much better with you in it!
Groomsman
Chris is Arizona's number one Buckeye fan and a great family man. He became my first close friend and neighbor in Arizona and we hit it off immediately. We've enjoyed many a good time on road trips to LA and Vegas. Chris has a wonderfully unique and insightful perspective on life, and this perspective has helped me become a better man. And maybe one of these days the Ducks will actually beat the Buckeyes....
Bridesmaid
Scottsdale's most gorgeous resident, I can't say enough about this girl! When I moved here from Florida almost 3 years ago, I knew no one! She was my realtor referred by a family member, and has turned out to be so much more! She went out of her way to make me feel at home and we became fast friends. She is so beautiful inside and out and one of the most selfless people I know. Love you Liz!
Groomsman
My soon to be brother in law from Ft. Collins, CO. via Miami, FL. Meeting Andrew was something I was nervous to do because Jen values his opinion very much. But he immediately made me feel at ease and I love when we get to spend time together ganging up on Jenny! He is a terrific father and role model and I couldn't ask for a better brother-in-law.
Bridesmaid
Janet, Ms. Diaz if you please! I love this girl. Radiant beauty from Miami, FL., I have known Janet since the 7th grade sitting behind her in many classes in school. Janet is the epitome of loyal. She has stuck with me through thick and thin. We laugh our asses off, dance our asses off and love each other for who we are. You can't get better than her for a friend!
Groomsman
Ken and I managed to make through our glorious years at Dallas High School without really knowing each other, but that all changed with a legion baseball game and the Great Dallas Fire of 1987. Ken has been such a terrific and reliable friend over the years as we have bonded over all things Ducks, Blazers, Rams and pop culture. I love being able to catch up with Ken on my return trips to Oregon and appreciate his being a part of our desert wedding.
Bridesmaid
Minnesota via O-Town, this beautiful girl is fantastic. I met her running with Team in Training in Orlando, FL. and we became training pals running many, many miles and races together. Christine is in for any adventure and has a great sense of humor. Ear to ear beautiful smile and spirit, she has stuck with me even when it wasn't so pretty to do so. Love you Christine!
Groomsman
Winning state championships is what the Dallas High School class of '87 did, and I had the honor of being Cody's teammate on the basketball side. Cody is the best of us: intelligent, handsome, witty, athletic, and a Harvard grad with small town values. We've had the best of times over the years playing games, inventing games, and contemplating the state of the world. It's no coincidence my son shares his name, and I can't wait for my longtime friend to be a part of our wedding.
Flower Girl
August 19, 2016, Ms. Lilo Clendenin was born and the world is a much cuter place! Her momma Heather is ready to get her all dressed up for the big event where she will steal the show!
Ring Bearer
Hi! I'm Briggs! Born Aug 9, 2017, I am sooo ready to rock this wedding with my home girl Lilo and be the best ring bearer ever!
Usher
Gabriel is the light of my life and one of my favorite people ever. He is warm and funny and I can hang with him all day any day. 18 years old and ready to kick ass in Colorado, Miami or wherever his heart takes him, he has the whole world in the palm of his hand. Love you Gabriel!
Wedding Planner
The minute I met Cori in Arizona, she was so warm and friendly. She and Chris are such a huge part of Mark's life so I was relieved to feel so welcomed by her and her family! The minute she found out I was engaged, she went out of her way to help me and get me started in planning this huge event. That is just what she does and who she is...thinking of others before herself, giving, lovely and radiant. Love you Cori and thank you for all you have done for me and Mark.
Token Fun Guy and Entertainer
It wouldn't be a party without this guy! David makes me laugh more than anyone else in the world and I adore him for that. We are currently working on a reality show together once he moves from Jacksonville, FL. to Arizona where the famous people like Mark and I live :)
Groom's Parents
Dallas, Oregon is home to Mark's parents. You will not meet a more caring, kind and generous pair! I am so excited that they will be my in-laws and can't wait to see what the future brings. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Welfley for treating me like family from the very start. Love, Jenny
Bride's Parents
Fort Collins, CO is where this lovely couple live. I am so thankful to them for bringing Jenny into the world and raising her to be the wonderful woman that she is. Jenny's parents are full of wisdom, strength and love. Thank you Chuck and Mary Jane for taking me in to the Elkins family. Love, Mark
Wedding Attendant
Jessica is a beautiful, fun, bubbly person from Gilbert, AZ who has joined the team. You won't find a more relate able, kind, giving person than her! Anything you need help with, she's there. I lean on her a lot and can say she has helped through many things. Love you Jess!
Officiant
When my son Cody decided he wanted to learn how to play tennis, little did I know it would lead us to this great man. Kurt has been a wonderful tennis teacher to Cody, but over the years as I've gotten to know him I am proud to call him my friend. He is a man of impeccable character, as evidenced by his service to his country in the army and his faithful service in the church. I could not ask for a better person to officiate our wedding.
