What was meant to be a short visit to a best friend at Fransiscan University turned into a much longer stay after Mark was introduced to Jenavieve. After a night filled with awkward eye contact and strategic run ins, they instantly hit it off after being forced into singing Drake karaoke together. Right after that moment was when Mark admitted to his best friend that she was the woman he would pray to someday marry (awwww). And it was only two weeks later that they made it official! We don't waste time around here! Mark and Jenavieve spent the next year and a half long distance and started falling in love over their long phone calls. Then, as Mark likes to put it, Jenavieve decided to ruin everything by studying abroad in Austria for four months. Long distance on steroids!!! That was such a challenging time but they grew so much closer and deeper in love. So naturally, as soon as she came back home, Mark made the move to PA to be close to Jenavieve and her family.

That following summer was when Mark finally asked Jenavieve to marry him!! He somehow managed to pull off the perfect combination of a private, intimate moment while being witnessed by their entire family and closest friends peeking through the window. It was such a special and unforgettable moment!!
