Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mark McGuire and Isabela Bagi
Hi all! I thought I would just write a few lines about Hvar & Croatia. My parents are from Zagreb, which is the capital. They were married there and lived there until my father immigrated to the US when he was 37, with my mom following a year later. My brother & I were both baptized in Zagreb and we have gone once a year to Croatia since we were born. Mark went for the first time when he was working abroad in Spain in 2018! My parents now split their time between Zagreb & the island of Brač. We have been to Hvar many times as a family (including Mark!) and it is known as a big touristic destination with a lot of things to do and is a bit easier to get to than other islands. Almost everyone in Croatia knows English and it’s one of the safest countries in Europe. Split & Dubrovnik are great places to fly into and visit on the way to Hvar. And Hvar also has a lot to offer!
Split

Split, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia

This is a pretty solid list of things to do in Split!

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Croatia

This also looks like a pretty good guide of Dubrovnik.

If you want to spend more time in Hvar there is plenty to see and do across the whole island!
