Yes, we swiped right! We met online and after getting to know one another, Hannah was finally convinced to go to dinner. So on a snowy February night Mark drove in from Batavia to take Hannah to dinner. They went to Hose 22. By their third date they knew this was something special. We celebrate every February at Hose 22 , which is also where our parents would first meet and now where we will be celebrating our rehearsal dinner!
Our engagement was just like our first date, another snowy night. Marks plan was to have a custom ornament made to put on the tree. But things don’t go as planned and when it came in wrong, Mark had to rush out to get another one made. The night of the engagement had its hiccups. With Mark getting his second vaccination shot and the takeout order not being right, he was determined to make everything perfect. When we both settled down to relax, he sneaked an ornament on the tree for Hannah to find. When it was time to do the proposal and get Hannah over to the tree, she of course was concerned with other ornament placements on the tree and didn’t realize what was happening. After a few minutes of her messing with other ornaments, Mark was able to get down on one knee and get her attention. There was excitement as Mark was unable to get words out as they both held back tears. He eventually asked her to marry him and of course she said yes. And the rest is history, but a typical Mark and Hannah story.
