Four years ago, on April 16th, at Montana’s Country Nightclub, two people unknowingly stepped onto the same dance floor and into the start of their forever story. What began with line dancing quickly turned into late-night conversations, shared laughter, and a connection built on music, adventure, and a shared faith in God. Grace and Mark quickly realized they had far more in common than just knowing the steps to a country song. Both were proud “band kids” growing up. Mark spent his school years in drumline, marching band, and orchestra, mastering both the stand-up bass and electric bass. Grace filled her own musical journey with trumpet, french horn, bass drum, jazz band, symphony, and marching band performances. Music became one of the many ways they connected without even trying. Mark grew up in Long Beach, California spending countless days at the beach and riding his bike along the coast. Grace grew up in Palm Desert, California, spending her childhood swimming in the family pool under the desert sun. Though they came from different places, they shared the same adventurous spirit, love of learning, and appreciation for the little joys in life. Together, they bonded over museums, history, books, road trips, pets, nature, comic books, movies, and finding every excuse to laugh together. Their relationship is filled with goofy jokes, silly moments, and the kind of weirdness that makes life more fun. Through every season of life, their faith has remained at the center of their relationship. As Christians, they are grateful for the way God brought them together and continues to guide their journey. Today, Mark is a high school physics teacher who inspires curiosity and creativity in his students every day. Grace is pursuing her teaching degree in special education, following her passion for helping and supporting others. Exactly four years later, on April 11, 2026, at 8:20 PM, Mark brought their story full circle. Standing on the very same dance floor where they first met, surrounded by the music and memories that started it all, he asked Grace to marry him. Of course, she said yes. Now they are excited to begin the next chapter of their lives together - one filled with faith, laughter, music, dancing, adventure, and a lifetime of love.
