The most profound connections often emerge at unexpected times, which was the case for us. Our journey began in May 2019 in Washington, D.C., when a mutual friend introduced us. Though our initial interaction was filled with potential, it wasn’t until July 2020 that we discovered the profound depth of our bond. During a time when the world slowed down, we found solace and joy in one another, focusing on what truly mattered. By April 2022, we decided to merge our lives, building a home together and intertwining our dreams and aspirations. Our shared commitment to education and community has been a foundational pillar of our relationship, but our shared adventures have expanded our horizons and deepened our connection. From the ethereal cliffs of Santorini to the dynamic streets of Tel Aviv, from the tranquil beaches of Jamaica to the vibrant pulse of Miami, we have traversed the globe together, crafting memories that remind us of the beauty in discovery and partnership. These experiences have taught us not only about the world but also about the unparalleled joy of sharing life’s journey with someone you love. Mark’s roots trace back to Chicago, while Errin’s began in Arkansas before his family’s relocation to Naperville, Illinois. However, we attended different institutions—Mark at Florida A&M University, then Governors State University, and Errin at Hampton University—and our respective journeys instilled a profound appreciation for family, culture, and faith. These values have shaped our perspectives and unified our vision for the future. As we embark on this next chapter, we are filled with gratitude for the love and support of our closest friends and family. After years of travel and adventure, we knew we wanted to celebrate this milestone surrounded by the people who have enriched our lives. We are excited to share this special moment aboard Virgin Voyages’ Dominican Daze cruise, setting sail on August 15, 2025. This is more than a wedding—celebrating a love that has grown stronger daily. We look forward to saying “I do” and beginning this new chapter with all of you.
