As we will be staying in Happauge, it allows you to travel to both the North and South shores of Long Island freely as you please. Here are a few of mine and Elliott's recommendations for the wedding weekend.
Sunken Meadow State Park

Elliott & Debbie (Elliott's Mom) love to go running here in the mornings whenever we visit Long Island and it is a great place to visit for a beach day as well.
Northport Bay

Elliott and I love to go for a walk around Northport on a beautiful weekend day as Cow Harbor Park borders the Northport Bay, and has many fun shops and restaurants.
