Our story began with a simple invitation: Mark asked Desirae to go fishing. What could have been an ordinary first date turned into something truly special (and no, Desirae was not the one that snagged the lure!). From that day forward, we’ve been practically inseparable, spending nearly every day together. Our shared passions include camping, fishing, hiking, paddle boarding, hot springs, sushi and a few friendly games of bowling. Our camping trips have given us some incredible memories, to include a surprise close encounter with a moose, so many fish we lost count and even a comical run in with a curious racoon with a love of salt and vinegar chips. It was at that very moose spot, a place already full of happy memories, that Mark got down on one knee. Desirae, of course, said an ecstatic yes! We are so excited to start our forever by eloping, just the two of us, exactly where we feel the most at home. In nature, on a mountain at 11k feet elevation in a gorgeous cabin!
