Mark and I met in the Young Americans. Actually, we first met when I was in high school and organizing a Young American workshop at my school and he was part of the cast that came to teach the workshop. I remember thinking he was so cute and looking him up on Facebook. Fast forward a year and a half to when I was in the group, about to go on my first tour: West Coast Summer Camps. And guess who else was on that tour? Yep, it was Mark. We flirted and started talking, having our first date in Nebraska. We walked around the campus of Midland University, where we were having our camp that week, saw a beautiful fountain, Mark did a silly rain dance because I had missed the rain earlier that day and love the rain, it started pouring, and we sat under a gazebo, listening to the rain and talking. We stayed together, doing long distance as we both went on another tour, then he went off again while I finished classes at the Young American campus. We both stopped touring and moved to Huntington Beach. Mark proposed on June 30, 2017 at the Bella Terra Mall in Huntington Beach where we had our third date. He recreated our first date in front of the fountain there, doing a rain dance and having people squirt water guns in the air so it felt like it was raining. He got down on one knee and asked me to be with him forever and I said yes. So here we are!
