In March of 2020, Mark and I met at a pool party. Little did we know that this casual meeting would become something so special. From the very beginning we just clicked. Mark and I do a lot of things together. We love exercise, hanging with friends, and watching movies. However, the thing we do most is laugh. A casual trip to the grocery store or the DMV can turn into howling laughter. Nothing is dull when we are together. After about a year of dating, Mark knew he was going to propose. He was nervous about how he was going to pop the question, and he had the ring for six months before taking the leap. We love sharing a glass of wine together. Every Thursday, we come together to take a moment and enjoy time with each other in our weekly ritual. This is how Mark decided on how he was going to propose. The idea popped into Mark’s head: ask Claire in Fredericksburg, Texas. Fredericksburg’s rolling hills and gorgeous vineyards seemed like the perfect place for him to pop the question. On May 26th, 2022, Mark got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Before he could even get the whole sentence out, I said “YES!” Little did we know that our lives were going to change forever… in more ways than one! Later that year we discovered we were expecting a new baby girl. Surprise! After finding out we were expecting, we got some tough news. To save the baby, I would have to go on bedrest. Life became more complicated, and our joy was ripped from underneath us. Mark immediately stepped in and pulled the load of two people in the household. Groceries, cooking, cleaning – everything. He never wavered. He helped do everything else so that I could focus on saving our baby. Most importantly, he somehow managed to make me laugh despite all the fear we were feeling. He did what any great man should do. I knew he was the one before, but after we got through these turbulent times together, that’s when I truly knew I picked the right man to be my husband! After months of waiting, and waiting, and waiting… our baby girl was finally born! On 3.14.23, we welcomed Margot Louise Resnick into the world, and our lives have been so full ever since. We are so excited to officially tie the knot and officially become a family. We can’t wait to see you on our big day, and we are so excited to celebrate the Resnicks!
