Unlike most romances you hear about these days, Mark and Chanel's story started with a real life encounter. Instead of swiping left or right...Chanel swiped the pretzels right out of Mark's hands at a mutual friend's bar-b-que. She must have known that the quickest way to Mark's heart was a salty snack. However, it was Chanel’s stunning beauty and impeccable conversational skills that kept him around. And if it wasn’t Mark's rugged good looks that got her attention in the first place, then it certainly must have been his wit. Due to Mark’s travel schedule for work, in the beginning their courtship consisted of weekends together, Facetime dates, and occasional weekend trips to Cincinnati. However, this did not stop their love from growing. From Chanel nursing Mark back from a potentially career ending sand volleyball injury, to Mark awkwardly asking Chanel to be his girlfriend by saying “So what should I call you to my friends?”, they both quickly realized that this is the person they wanted to spend the rest of their life with. Fast forward to April 2020. After exhaustive research of Chanel’s Pinterest page and a clandestine operation to get her ring size, Mark found himself down on one knee asking Chanel to marry him in front of the arch at Goodale Park. Chanel’s reaction said it all and Mark was so happy he forgot to actually put the ring on her finger! Mark and Chanel are incredibly excited to start writing this new chapter of their lives. They cannot wait to celebrate with all their family and friends!
