Theresa

Bridesmaid

Theresa claims that our friendship blossomed when I was in 8th grade and scolded her. Following, our friendship has been nothing short of an amazing, loving and an adventurous one. We never miss an opportunity to travel together or laugh at each other, even if it means taking embarrassing photos of Theresa on crutches as she is wheeled thru an airport. We have spent birthdays together skydiving, sang our hearts out at many concerts, braved rain and snow to attend college and professional football games, sat on the sidelines at basketball games and then maybe decided it was a perfect time for us to get our next tattoos. We are each other’s voice of reason, best confidant, and sometimes maybe even bad influences on each other no matter how far apart we are.

Jodie

Bridesmaid

Jodie and Carla have been friends since high school. They have some similar and some VERY different interests which makes their friendship exciting and allows them to continue to push each other out of their cozy comfort zones. Jodie tends to chase adventure and cold. She also has been very successful at convincing Carla (who prefers warm and sunshine) to join in adventures like dog sledding or camping in ice with the phrase “you only live once.” Like most of Jodie's friend's Carla feels like she has escaped death at least once if not twice while on one of Jodie's adventures. Life's journey has placed 6000 miles between them but their friendship, support and encouragement to embrace change/challenges continue. Jodie is also the talented artist behind the save the date artwork!

Sarah

Bridesmaid

If it’s 8:30am on a weekday Carla and Sarah are having their morning chat. If it’s 7:30am on a weekend Sarah is texting Carla and inviting her over for breakfast and coffee. When they are in the same zip code the two are inseparable and can be found cooking with Steve and Mark, sitting poolside, at the farmers market, strolling down Bridge Street, dancing with Reid and laughing until the wee hours of the morning.

Jenna

Bridesmaid

Jenna and Carla shared a lot of the same interests and similarities, including their grandparent's living in the same boring town in the middle of nowhere Florida. While their friendship blossomed their homes quickly became each other's second homes. Together, they mastered the art of throwing a great party at Carla's house when Karin (Carla's mom) was away. They would meticulously photograph all areas of the house, then party proof the house before the big event. The next day was would spent cleaning and consulting the pictures of the pre-party Cadzin abode. Jenna & Carla bonded over this process, many sleepovers, trips, visits in college and became each other's second family.

Maria

Bridesmaid

Carla and Maria met during their time on Beacon Hill while attending Suffolk University. They can thank the dorms at 10 Somerset for not only bringing them together as cluster mates, but also for giving them both roommates who they felt were more suited to live together- leaving them as roommates. Together they make incessant references to Mean Girls, have a love of sushi, and obsession with the annual Victoria Secret fashion show. Though far in distance, the two have remained close and haven’t missed a beat.

Traci

Bridesmaid

Carla and Traci met the summer of 2009, it wasn’t until the next year they decided they actually wanted to be friends and couldn’t live without each other. Fast forward to 2013 when they realized they literally couldn’t live without each other and became roommates. As only children Carla and Traci have since learned to share with each other and are always there to send guidance regarding lipstick colors and which wedge shoe to wear. Carla and Traci have formed an amazing support system but most importantly, Traci is always there for Carla’s self diagnosed ailments.

Erin

Bridesmaid

Luckily Carla and Erin met late in their college career otherwise they may have never graduated. Marsha and Betty (as they referred to themselves) spent countless nights driving from New Hampshire to Rhode Island at midnight, painting the town green in Newport for St. Patrick’s Day and binge watching bad tv while dining on frozen pizza. As “adults” they are a bit more refined and enjoy hikes in Mashomack and still love iced coffee.

Emily

Bridesmaid

In 2004 shortly before packing our lives for college, Emily and I decided naturally that best friends should live together! (Emily says we did not ask any of our parents for permission- I think we did!) Stephanie and Dexter opened their arms, doors and ears to hours, days and years of listening to Emily and I laughing till we cried, stomping around in heels or whipping up 3 course meals at 2am in the kitchen. Multiple family members thought (and probably still think) that we were lovers— we never corrected them. Sometimes in life you have friends with whom you laugh until your belly hurts, and with whom you feel it’s safe to cry for hours on end— for us it’s each other! When Mark proposed, Emily cried louder and harder than anyone else on the beach, including me.
