Mark and Ashley met in December of 2015, neither knowing then that a simple swipe on Tinder would lead to a lifetime together. They first bonded over a shared love of classic rock and history. At the time, Mark was a Sophomore at North Park University in Chicago, and over the next two and a half years, they spent their days getting to know each other, getting up to some shenanigans with their wonderful group of friends, and exploring the city they would soon call home. When Mark graduated in 2018, he and Ashley—along with their dog Bindi—took the next big step and moved in together. They spent the next three years living all over the northwest side of Chicago, growing stronger with every move. In 2021, they made the decision to return to the suburbs, the place they both called home. Over the years, they stood by each other through all the highs and lows life has to offer. On December 16, 2023 Mark popped the question in the living room of their apartment, with a little help from Bindi, of course! Now, nearly a decade after that first swipe, Mark and Ashley can’t wait to start the next chapter of their journey as Mr. and Mrs. Mamola.
