Mendocino beach
Great beach tucked away below the town of Mendocino that is nice for walking, reading, and staring into the ocean. There's tons of driftwood up on the sand that is fun to look at too!
Spring Ranch Trail
We love the Spring Ranch Trail! It's short, flat hike that takes you past some very picturesque old barns, through waving fields of grass, and out onto the coastal cliffs. This easy hike is not to be missed!
Big River
Directly connected to the ocean and Mendocino beach, Big River is a nice walk and there are options for renting kayaks etc if that’s your thing. Go south on Highway One past Main St, and turn left on the north side of the Big River bridge – the sign says “Big River State Beach”.
Sea Pal Cove
In the Fort Bragg harbor, this is the spot for greasy fried food and a beer out on the dock. One of our favorites!
