Shuttle

We will be providing a shuttle bus from the Hotel Plaza Lucchesi at Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia, 38, 50122 Firenze. The hotel is located next door to the National Library just outside the center of Florence to easily make its way out of town to Fiesole. Please arrive on time as the bus will leave at 5:15pm sharp.
Travel Note
We were so thankful to find this beautiful medieval castle to host you in September! Castello di Vincigliata sits on a hill overlooking Florence located just east of the town of Fiesole. It is about a 15min drive from the center of Florence and we will provide transportation to the venue from downtown. If you choose to stay in the small town of Fiesole instead of Florence, the castle is a 10min taxi ride from the main piazza. We will ensure taxis will be readily available at the end of the night.
Flight
The easiest way to travel is to fly into the Florence Peretola Airport, which is located only 6km from the city centre (about an 18min taxi ride). The taxi ride is approximately 18-22 Euros depending on the amount of passengers & luggage. You can also fly into Pisa at the Galileo Galilei International Airport, but it will be a 90min journey into Florence. You would then need to arrange your transportation either by train, bus or car.
Travel Note
While we have not booked a block of rooms, as we understand everyone has varying budgets, we do suggest you stay in the city centre of Florence. It is very easy to move within the area on foot, with most neighbourhoods and historical sites within a 10-15min walk of each other. There are numerous hotels and bed and breakfast options from Ponte Vecchio to the Museo Archeologico.
House Or Rental
If you're up for it, there are plenty of Air BnB options in the heart of Florence to choose from. On the day of our wedding, will be providing transportation from the city centre directly to the venue. We recommend you stay in Florence nearby the downtown core, where there are endless restaurants, bars, shops and historical sites.
Travel Note
While some cabs and business will accept US dollars, remember to have some Euros on hand when you arrive in Italy!
