Question

ceremony at sea

Answer

UPDATE - *the sail has been pushed back to 12pm*. The sail will be leaving at 12 from the Maine State Pier. Please arrive by 1145. We'll enjoy a two-hour sail aboard Sailing Vessel (SV) Wendameen, at some point along the journey we'll get married! We'll have sandwiches. It's rain or shine, so be prepared to make your foul weather gear look stylish!

Question

Where to park for the sail

Answer

Most of the street parking around Portland is for two-hours maximum so we recommend paying $5/hr at the Casco Bay Parking Garage (54 Commercial St). If this is full try Custom House Parking Garage (25 Pearl St, Portland). A full map of options can be found here: https://www.cascobaylines.com/uploads/Parking-Convenient-to-Casco-Bay-Lines-Map-PDF.pdf

Question

what to do between the sail and the party

Answer

1) Grab lunch in Portland: Lots of good seafood options: High Roller (Exchange St) or any place along Commercial St (Lukes Lobster, Gilberts Chowder House, etc). Some of our favorites: Mami (Japanese), Flatbread (pizza), LB Kitchen (healthy hearty bowls) 2) Take a nap so you're ready to close down the dance floor later 3) Portland Headlight 4) Walk at Crescent Beach 5) Help us with last minute set-up back at Penny Lane ;)

Question

Whats the buzz about the Party at Penny Lane

Answer

Mark and I have spent the better part of our relationship building a tiny home (yes, even tiny homes taken time) nestled in the woods behind his dad, Rich and stepmoms, Kim's house on Penny Lane. And what better incentive to finish up house projects and landscaping then to throw your wedding reception there (so we thought 6months ago...). We're excited to share our little slice of heaven with you all. There will be lawn games, kid activities, food, beverages, dancing and a bonfire. Park snuggly along Penny Lane, try to carpool, leave the turnaround open so people can easily come and go. We'll have signs or someone out to help with parking!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We'll be dressed up, so you can too (if you want) but we think you're beautiful in whatever you wear, so wear what you feel the most comfortable in! I guess you'd call the attire "casual wedding attire" but don't forget your boat shoes, just kidding, we call those Teva's :)
