Lake Neuchâtel and Morat boat trips

Lake Neuchâtel and Morat boat trips

Switzerland

Home to three lakes linked by canals and to numerous rivers, the Jura & Three-Lakes region boats an unparalleled cruise network and provides a giant playground for water sports and activities. The boat companies offer a wide range of cruising options. For example, you can easily reach the cities of Yverdon-les-Bains, Neuchâtel, Murten and Biel. By boat, you can also reach the beautiful bucolic beaches or the wine villages of the region. Succumb to the charm of these picturesque places and take a break before cruising back to your home port in peace and quiet.

Neuchâtel Castle

Neuchâtel Castle

1 Rue du Château, Neuchâtel, NE 2000, Switzerland

The castle of Neuchâtel is located at the oriental end of a hill overlooking the old town. It is built around two courtyards: the main one in the centre, and a small courtyard that was significantly reduced in height in the 20th century. It was the residence of the lords, then counts of Neuchâtel from the end of the 12th century. Since the 16th century, the current castle has been occupied by governors as service quarters and, for at least the last two centuries, by the cantonal administration. Most of the buildings date back to the 15th century but a roman style wing from the end of the 12th century is the oldest civil building in Switzerland that has been used without interruption.
