Our first date was at Postino in Katy, a charming restaurant with an impressive wine list and delicious bruschetta boards. I was immediately captivated by how different it was from typical first dates. Instead of the usual small talk, we dove into these meaningful conversations, exploring our hopes, dreams, and aspirations for the future. While Jed is often perceived as a reserved individual, that night, he unveiled a side of himself that was both insightful and endearing. From that night on, our relationship took off. Jed started visiting me frequently, and we would spend hours talking, watching movies, and just enjoying each other's company. He was always supportive of my other charitable endeavors that involved a multitude of people, and he would even come to my meetings, even though he was not fond of them. Jed was always up for trying new things, and he loved to travel with me. I would take him to all my trips, turning them into these personal adventures that really brought us closer. Those trips were like the glue that deepened our bond. When I met Jed, something just clicked - like this amazing connection that went beyond the usual. Time went by so effortlessly and I can't wait to see what the future holds. I am surely blessed to have found my forever love, companion and best friend. -Marj-
Although I wasn't an avid mahjong player, I would occasionally join in for the camaraderie and the delicious food, which Marj's house was always known for. By this time, Jed had already moved in with Marj, and she invited me to a game night with her usual round of close friends and family. That evening, I decided to take a break from the games and relax on the sofa, watching TV and enjoying the delectable treats. I was supposed to join Jed's relatives at their table, who were also being introduced to the game. In the middle of the game, the TV suddenly turned off, and a slideshow of pictures of Jed and Marj started playing. The romantic music was so loud that someone asked to turn it down, but no one did. Then, Jed walked out into the room with a whiteboard decorated with LED lights. He dropped to one knee, pulled out a ring, and proposed to Marj in front of everyone! We were all so excited for them! We all spilled out onto the patio to take pictures and take turns congratulating them. It was a truly special night filled with happiness and love. To this day they kept the whiteboard sign saying, “Will you Marry Me” by the tub in their bathroom that they now share. -Joy-
Some people say it takes years to get to know someone....to really know the person is "the one". But we really didn't focus on the pace of our relationship. What mattered the most was the depth of our emotional bond, the real heart of our relationship. Our friends and family totally embraced us, seeing how even our contrasting personalities brought this amazing balance to our lives. Together, we will happily continue the journey to get to know each other deeply, become our best selves, bridge differences, defy expectations and bring people together in the most unexpected ways. We promised each other a lifetime of love, support and endless happiness as husband and wife, best friend and forever love. -Jed-
