Mariyahs Side

Supposedly Shane and I have known each other since the fifth grade, when he moved from Texas to Colorado. I don’t remember him much then. What I do remember is a 7th grade health class project about the drug Rohypnol or “roofies” with this CUUUTE football player in my class 😍 I remember picking out clothes that I thought he would like on the days we had class so he would notice me… of course he didn’t 😒 Flash forward to highschool - we dated for a while, but it ended in as most HS romances do. Then of course 3 years later when Shane reached out to me, I thought “oh geez what does he want?” I had just finished my first year of college and figured I had nothing to lose by meeting up with him. He enticed me with promises of bagels and video games and I was SOLD. Not many people know this, but after a few days of being around Shane, I just had this overwhelming feeling that he was the one for me. So, just 3 days into us reconnecting I told him that I loved him. I will never forget the smile on his face the moment after I said those words.. and now here we are! Getting married?? How crazy after all these years, to end up together and happier than ever🥰

Shanes side

Mariyah and I actually go back all the way to elementary school. Back then I don't have any memories aside from her kicking my butt in four square on one specific occasion. Then in middle school, we did a project together for a class about the date rape drug, so definitely romantic vibes. I thought she was super cute, but around that time I mostly remembered her for being the girl that was usually wearing a soccer sweatshirt. In high school we ended up going to different schools, but she remained in the back of my head, so we ended up kindling something back then too, but it fell apart after a short while. I didn't forget about her, so when I saw a post about her being back in town after having being away for school, I jumped into action and did what anyone that worked at a bakery would've done - I enticed her with promises of bagels, and since she came back into my life, the timeline is pretty simple. We hung out for 3 consecutive days just having the time of our lives, then she said I love you first which was so sweet, and I couldn't have agreed more anyways. The rest is just 6+ years of happiness and cherished memories. I can't wait for the 100+ more years I intend to somehow squeeze out of life together, and see what that holds for us. Marrying her is a dream, and I'm so glad dreams come true ❤️

For all the days along the way
