In 2017, while walking through the Collision Center where I was working & where Rashad was managing the Enterprise, did I ever think that a chance encounter would be the beginning of something great. Upon meeting, our interest was not piqued until after seeing each other a few times and we agreed to go on our first date.

Our first date was probably the stepping stone and catalyst to where we are today. It was a night that was simple and meaningful, the Hawks game, a ferris wheel and carriage ride. (Aww 😊)

It was after dating for awhile that we decided to take the last step of meeting each other’s children, a big deal for the both of us, which officially began the road to the journey which we are now embarking upon.

A few years went by of us getting to know each other as well as our families that Rashad decided he wanted to take the next step and make it official and propose. With the help of my dear friend Cherie, it was under the pretense of just being a celebration for her husband was where we decided to merge our lives and continue this road of love, honor, and respect. Understanding that we have the rest of our lives to see where that magical night that he asked, and I said “YES” shall lead us to.
