We arrive Catania (CTA) on Thursday, Sept 3 at 17:45 and drive to Taormina. After the wedding, on September 8 we are going to Cefalu, which is a few hours drive west, and stay until September 12. We will fly back to Houston from Palermo (PMO). We leave Houston on 2 September on UA 102 from IAH, arriving MUC at 9:45am; then depart MUC on LH 1908 at 15:35 arriving CTA at 17:45. We booked both legs directly on United.com. We depart PMO on Sept 12 at 9:45am, connect via EWR and arrive Houston at 20:28

There is a beautiful natural gorge with river approximately 45 minutes from Taormina centre and guests can either go with public bus or by private transfer https://www.golealcantara.it/eventi/ For wine lovers we have many wineries in the area as well which are worth a visit and where guests can experience wine tasting https://www.vinigambino.it/?lang=en Dave recommends visiting the following vineyards: Donna Fugata, Franchetti Passopisciaro, Benanti or Tenuta Della Terre Nerve (all require reservations for which you can book on their websites) Day trips to Mount Etna volcano or the islands off the north coast are also very interesting. Cefalu - come join! ha Siracusa / Ortigia Island: we stayed a few years back on Ortigia Island at the Origin Palace and it was spectacular. We recommend dinners at: Don Camillo and Cortile Spirito Santo, Lido Varco beach club Noto: lovely quant town. We did a day trip there from Ortigia but staying there is a good option too
