We met when we both swiped right on tinder. I honestly did not think he would be interested but he was and we matched. He messaged me first with this corny joke and I was hooked. I love a good joke and I thought he was hilarious. I went over one night and we tried to watch a movie, but we ended up just talking for hours. I went over again the next night and he cooked me this chicken dinner, and it was amazing. We spent almost every evening together for two straight weeks. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on October 13th, 2019. I think the next week or maybe that same one, we told each other "I love you," and I said it first kind of on accident but not really. It just felt so natural to roll off my tongue and say it. Less than a month of dating we traveled to see my family in Texas to meet them. They love him, I mean before we were engaged they called him their son or brother. We continued to just get to know each other and spend time together, and learned to love each other the ways we needed. We are still learning, our relationship is not perfect. We may argue and get on each others nerves at times, but he is perfect for me. I have never loved or cherished someone more than Shane. He had this big plan to propose the weekend of March 21st, 2020, but plans kept getting canceled because of the coronavirus, and my parents no longer being able to come to Colorado from Texas. On March 18th, 2020, we were watching a movie and i'll spare all the details but he ended up proposing that night and it was perfect. I didn't need big plans or something extravagant. I just needed the two of us. We are getting married on November 8th, 2020 and we cannot wait.
