Question

Where is the wedding held? Do we need to travel between venues?

Answer

All events will take place at Illinois State University’s Hancock Stadium. Marissa attended ISU so the bride and groom are familiar with this location.

My children’s names are not on the invite. Are my kids invited?

Answer

While we ADORE your children, this is an adult-only event (21+). Our goal is to give you an ample amount of time to inquire about a sitter and make it a date night! We hope you can still make it!

Can I bring a date?

We did our very best to accommodate our guests at the time of creating our list. If “guest” is not listed on the invitation envelope, we were unable to accommodate a “plus-one.” Thank you for understanding!

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by April 10, 2024 at the very latest.

Will I need to bring cash for the bar?

Answer

All beer, wine, seltzers, and a few specialty cocktails will be paid for by the bride’s parents. All well and premium alcoholic drinks will need to be paid for by the guests, so please bring cash if you would like those drinks. Also, it’s always nice to tip the bartenders!

What time should I arrive?

Doors will open at 3:30pm, and the ceremony will start promptly at 4pm. Please don’t be late :)

What should I wear?

Answer

Relaxed cocktail attire: think cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, jumpsuits, rompers, matching separates, dress pants and a nice shirt, chinos and a button-down shirt, maybe a sport coat, or even a suit. Have fun with it! But please no casual jeans.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes. The lot in front of Hancock Stadium on Main St (G73) and the lot to the north of the football field (G83) are reserved for our wedding guests. Your car may stay there overnight and you can get it the next day by 12pm noon. After that, your car is at risk of being towed. We care about you and DO NOT condone any drinking and driving.
