In the fall of 2014, we met through a mutual friend at the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. There was an initial spark between us and the following spring we made our relationship official. We knew from the beginning we were both very serious and committed to one another and had hopes our relationship would evolve into a marriage. Marissa graduated in 2017 and moved to Nashville to pursue a degree in nursing, while Mitchell had one more year in his engineering program. Throughout this year, we traveled merely every weekend to see one another and anxiously waited for Mitchell to move to Nashville. In the spring of 2018, Mitchell graduated from UT and moved to Nashville to work at an engineering consulting firm. We moved in together and began to talk about when the right time to get engaged would be. A year and a half later, on December 19, 2019 (Mitchell's birthday), he proposed at our favorite restaurant and surprised Marissa the next day with an engagement party. We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you here in Nashville on August 7, 2021!
