Downtown Chico
Chico has a very cute downtown area with a variety of cute stores, restaurants, bars, and the CSU Chico campus. Go walk around and find something you'll love or check out some of our favorites like: The Bear B street Lili's Brazilian Bistro Made in Chico
Upper Park
Chico is home to the 5th municipal park in California, Bidwell park. The park road runs through the middle of a canyon. On one side you can experience amazing cliff side views of the town (park at Monkey face). And depending on the time of year, you can swim in Big Chico creek (park at 5 mile, Bear hole, Salmon hole, or Alligator hole). Parking further down at 1 mile will also give you an amazing walk full of greenery (but with the fun of paved roads).
Farmer's Skillet
There are many breakfast places in town, but this is ours. We go here every other week and its a cute older dinner where the staff all know your name :) This is where Marissa and Kial will be the morning after! Other honorable breakfast mentions are: Jack's Family Restaurant Deja Vu Breakfast Company The Donut Nook (on East Ave NOT HELEN'S DONUT NOOK)
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
It's Sierra Nevada, do I really need to say more? The restaurant is a great place for dinner, the gift shop is a fun place to get Chico merch while you're here. Tours are offered (but you need to book in advance).
Discovery Bar & Kitchen
Another favorite for drinks/lunch/ dinner. This is an option a bit further from the downtown area and Kial's go to dinner request.
The Handle Bar
Another favorite for food (probably the closest if you booked a hotel)
