The Palace of Fine Arts this is such an iconic San Francisco landmark for a peaceful stroll around the lagoon. Especially on a beautiful day, this is a great backdrop to check out. Walking distance from Chestnut Street and Marina Boulevard!
Our favorite breakfast sandwich spot. There are multiple locations throughout the city. The Noriega location linked here is near Ocean Beach if you wanted to stroll along the Great Highway.
Stroll along the Great Highway (now called Sunset Dunes) for a walk along Ocean Beach. We like to grab breakfast sandwiches from Devil's Teeth Bakery and take George on a walk here!
Best Burritos in the Bay! Recommend ordering "El Dorado" style
Known for "Sanfrancilian" style pizza. Locations in North Beach and Sunset District.
Classic counter-service seafood
Classic seafood spot in North Beach. Famous for cioppino.
The "crookedest" street in the world.
One of the best fast food burgers of the west coast. If the drive through line is backed up, usually the indoor line is quicker.
One of our favorites in Chinatown
It's a a popular tourist attraction (tourist trap) but a must go if you've never been to SF. You'll find tons of shops, dining, an aquarium, and most importantly our beloved sea lions. Try to find the most recently viral 2,000 lbs stellar sea lion known by the name of CHONKERS.
The SF Ferry Building is a historical landmark and home to over 50 local artisan shops as well as R-Evolution, a 45-foot-tall, 32,000-pound steel mesh sculpture of a nude woman that stands at Embarcadero Plaza (photo credit: Marissa).
Beautiful park in the Presidio with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge
This is my favorite lookout point with a view of the bridge. This is on the northern side of the bridge... right before you cross the bridge into San Francisco if coming from Novato. Prepare to park along the winding roads and walk to the lookout point.
Go for a mild hike to see the tall redwood trees! NOTE: Be sure to book parking ahead of time! It will sell out!
Popular sit down dim sum spot in SF (although you can order to go!) Note: Sundays mornings for asians is like brunch for girls in their 20s -- It'll be busy! Marissa's favorite order from here is their bbq pork buns because it has a sweet crust on the top.
If you're a bread person, GO HERE. Make it a quick stop if you're headed to Ocean Beach. They only sell their bread on Thursdays through Sunday. Marissa loves their porridge bread. She even slices and freezes the bread to make it last!
CROISSANTS. Need any other explanation?
Sausalito is a cute place along the bay coast for dining, boutique shopping, and bars. Bridgeway is the main street along the coast to walk around and browse. Some notable places: - Scoma's (seafood & italian) - Barrel House Tavern - Bar Bocce - Ritual Coffee - Le Garage (french) It also has a Sausalito Ferry Terminal to take a 30 minute ferry across the bay to Pier 39 or The Ferry Building in San Francisco.
