Josh would come into Historic Grounds with Ben and Becca for breakfast. He loved a good stuffed french toast with sausage links! One day he strutted in and Joanne (the 65 year old waitress) said "Look at that stud that just walked in". Josh perked up like a tom turkey in May, thinking Marissa had been the one to say it. A couple days and a many cocktails later Josh decided it would be a good idea to send Marissa a text. Marissa was charmed by his sense of humor and when he came into Historic Grounds next, Josh asked her out on their first date! Josh and Marissa lived an hour apart and rather than meet for the first date Josh wanted to, (and successfully did), impress Marissa by driving an hour to pick her up, then driving an hour to the Iron Lantern in Castleton, an hour back to drop her off and then drove an hour back home! What a guy! Marissa was finally able to convince Josh that living with her and her 2 pups would be so much fun in May of 2022. 2 years later on April 27, 2024 Josh popped the question on top of Dorset Peak!
