Breckenridge, Colorado We were on our first-ever ski trip with friends to celebrate my belated birthday! It has quickly become a tradition to travel on our birthdays! On this particular trip, we had lots of fun activities planned, prior to the trip Jarret mentioned Saturday afternoon he had made plans for the group. It was the coldest day of the entire trip and we spent the morning snowmobile across the continental divide. The weather was probably about -5 and the snow was coming down non-stop. Unaware of the afternoon plans Jarret packed up some blankets got dressed and we were on our way. This is when I started to wonder what might be going on, our friends bailed at the last minute and we were driving in the same direction we had returned from that morning. To my surprise when we arrived he told me we would be taking a sleigh ride. We warmed up first with some amazing hot chocolate, had a close call with my white coat when I almost wiped out in the snow with my hot chocolate in hand. Snow was still coming down we were enjoying the ride when they made a stop to let us take some pictures. It was still snowing and a moment out of the movies, all captured by the undercover sleigh driver Bridget (our amazing photographer). She jumped out of the sleigh, had Jarret stall for just a minute while she pulled the cameras from under her coat! With a few laughs, tears, and a whole lot of smiles, we will forever cherish these moments and photos. Breckenridge will forever hold a special place in our story!
