Is there a dress code?

This is a semi-formal event. Dresses and suits are preferred. Please feel free to wear any shoe, as there are paved paths at the venue for those wearing heels.

Can I bring a date?

If not indicated on your invitation, please do not bring a date.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This is a child-free wedding. We are looking to hire an on-site babysitter to help accommodate.

Can I smoke at your wedding?

Answer

NO. Our venue has a strict no smoking and no open flame policy. You will be asked to leave the premises if this policy is violated.

Can I use my phone for pictures?

Answer

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. Feel free to take photos during the reception or ask our amazing photographer!

Can I post photos on social media?

Answer

Please refrain from posting photos while at the wedding and reception. We want our friends and family to be fully present with us rather than posting on socials.

Where is the reception?

Answer

All events (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) are at Oak Lodge. Each space is within walking distance of each other.

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All scheduled events are set indoors. There will be outdoor areas and you will walk outdoors between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. There are paved paths between all buildings. Weather permitting, dancing at the reception will be outside on the patio.

Can we park at the venue?

Yes, there is a parking lot at the venue.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Please see the lodging tab on this website to view our hotel blocks. Otherwise, the nearest hotels will be located in Ligonier, PA.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding to the hotel?

Answer

If you are staying in the lodge or cabins, you will be able to walk back to your room. There will be a shuttle service from the hotel to the venue.

Any considerations if I am driving to the venue?

We suggest downloading the map to and from the venue as there is no cell phone service. Please consult the map on the website as well.

Do I need a measles vaccine?

Answer

YES! We are requesting you be vaccinated for measles due to the recent outbreak and parents of newborns being invited. We would much rather everyone be safe!
