While at Assumption College, Marissa and David both joined the Campus Activities Board. Working with each other (Marissa was technically David's boss--whoops), they soon realized that they had a bit more than a crush. After many group dates including a Patriots watch party and a Marvel movie, they were smitten. From Worcester to Cape Elizabeth to Boston to Pepperell, Marissa and David spent two years traversing New England. Many a weekend was spent driving across states lines. Finally, they settled in Boston and started the next chapter—sharing 600 square feet in Brighton. The joy did not last long—when the Pandemic hit in March 2020, Marissa and David took up refuge inside their tiny apartment. After many loaves of bread baked and countless hours playing MarioKart, they packed up and moved north to Pepperell and then to Nashua, NH. Five and a half years into the relationship David decided it was time to put a ring on it. On August 20, 2021, in the Boston Public Garden, he popped the question. Not only did Marissa say, "finally," after asking David where he hid the ring in their apartment, but she also said, "yes." They say seven is a lucky number, so on their seventh anniversary, February 3, 2023, they will tie the knot in Portland, Maine. David is very excited he will only have to remember one anniversary. Marissa is excited about the way 2/3/23 will look on their invites. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in 2023!
