We met freshmen year of high school because Marissa was transferred into Connor's English class. Due to our last names being close by, our desks were next to each other. We spent the whole school year just talking as friends. Over that following summer, Marissa got ahold of Connor's number and texted him. We would talk on and off as friends would, but nothing serious. Going into 10th grade, we happen to get English again together. Once we had English again, we started talking and texting a lot more. Sometime in October or November, Marissa had to ask Connor to the formal. Marissa was very nervous about asking him, so she typed the message and her friend hit the send button for her. Within a few seconds Connor had messaged her back, but again Marissa was very nervous, so her friend opened the text and read it out load. "Ya, sounds good", is what it said. January 26, 2013 came; it was the day of the formal. We went and did photos together and then went to the dance with all of our friends. Halfway through the dance, Connor put a note in Marissa's purse while she was away. Marissa came back and was told he put something in her purse. When she opened it, she pulled out a little note card that read "Will you be my girlfriend?" Of course, she said yes, and they danced the rest of the night away!
