FAQs

The Wedding Website of Marissa Horanic and Christian Crowley
Question

What to expect

Answer

This is less of a traditional wedding and much more of a celebration of two strange lovebirds committing to one another and sharing their love amongst friends and family. The ceremony will be very short and sweet so there's more time for everyone to eat, relax, dance, laugh, and have a day worth looking back on. Marissa has POTS and can't stand that long anyways! Seriously, though. We're talking about Marissa and Christian here. Expect the unusual.

Question

Dress code

Answer

We really don’t care what you wear, as long as you look nice and feel comfortable. Jeans are allowed! Spooky attire welcomed, and encouraged. The only rule: NO BLACK DRESSES! We kindly request that the guests refrain from wearing black dresses as this is the bride’s color. If you wouldn't wear a white dress to a traditional wedding, please don't wear a black dress to ours! Our wedding will be outdoors on the grass, so please plan your attire accordingly.

Question

Parking & Accessibility

Answer

The venue has on-site grass parking. The spaces closest to the celebration can be reserved for our disabled loved ones. Just let us know when you RSVP! The majority of the area is grass and pretty level, and the barn is wheelchair accessible.

Question

Alcohol

Answer

Our wedding is BYOB. We aren't drinkers, but don't mind if you are! We ask that you be respectful and courteous with your alcohol consumption on our big day. No guests under 21 are permitted to consume alcohol. Any guest(s) that appear intoxicated will be asked to leave. We want everyone to have a safe and fun time! Brother of the Bride, Jonathan Horanic, will be mixing & serving a small menu of spooky mocktails. Prepare your tastebuds for a great scare!

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

For the ease our guests, we've chosen to provide a buffet-style taco bar for dinner. You'll be able to build your own tacos to suite your taste and accommodate any dietary restrictions! There will be gluten free and vegan options available, and this entire table will be nut-free. We will also have a classic Pittsburgh-wedding cookie table, as you have learned from our RSVP form. If you're interested in bringing cookies for the table, we ask that you use gluten-free all purpose flour so the bride herself can enjoy the cookies. Spooky & Halloween-themed cookies are encouraged!
