Things To Do

Beaches

Some of our favorite San Diego beaches are Coronado Beach, Crown Point (for bonfires and picnicking), Torrey Pines State Beach, La Jolla Cove, and Sunset Cliffs. Pro-tip, if you have the time, we highly recommend Laguna Beach in Orange County. And heads up, although it will be warm outside, the Pacific ocean will be cold!

Hiking

There's TONS of beautiful hikes in San Diego! A few of our favorites are Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, Mission Trails, and Corte Playa Catalina.

Tacos & Burritos

If you're from out of town, definitely get yourself some tacos while you're here! Don't listen to the haters, Tacos El Gordo is worth the hype.

Coffee Shops

Throw a rock and you'll hit a coffee shop in SD! Some of the ones we love are Muri, Lazy Eye, Por Vida, Copa Vida, Dark Horse, Bird Rock, and Mixed Grounds.

Fun Neighborhoods to Explore

South Park, North Park, Golden Hill, University Heights, and Hillcrest (get yourself the true gayborhood experience).

Breweries

Lots and lots of breweries in SD. A few spots we love are Seek Beer Co, GOAL Brewing, Epigg, Thorn, Pure Project, Fall Brewing, and Kaiora (great rooftop spot).

Happy Hour

Our favorite spot is La Puerta (the one on Goldfinch, not downtown). Check it out any day from 3:00 - 5:00 PM for half off their entire bar, appetizers, and quesadillas. 619 Spirits in North Park. Also every day, from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. $6.19 draft cocktails (we love the "Spicy Berry") and some happy hour food deals. Pretzels & Pints, also in North Park. Rotating daily specials and weekday happy hour ($2 off drafts). Tasty pretzels and hot dogs!

For all the days along the way
