Marissa and Avery's story began at Christ Episcopal Church in San Antonio in the fall of 2020. Marissa had just moved to San Antonio to start a job, while Avery embarked on his role in youth ministry at CEC. Their paths crossed in 2021 during Sidewalk Saturday on the church lawn. Though they often saw each other at various church events, it wasn't until late spring 2023 that they started spending more time together. Avery extended an invitation for Marissa to join him as his guest at a church dinner hosted by another parish member, and their connection deepened from there. Now, as they prepare for marriage, their love story continues with the steadfast support and blessings of the church community that brought them together.
