Marissa and Jamie met around the bar scene in Scranton in March of 2018. Marissa was out for her friend’s 21st birthday and Jamie was out with a group of his close friends. Jamie and Marissa bumped into each other on their way up to get a beverage and Jamie offered to buy Marissa’s drink! The rest was history!

Marissa and Jamie were on their yearly Disney trip together in August of 2023. Marissa’s best friend Jenn, who lives in Florida, met up with them at Epcot the day of the proposal! Little did Marissa know, Jenn and Jamie had the whole proposal planned for a while! On their way to their dinner reservation at the Polynesian Resort, Jamie asked Marissa for a picture on the beach! Jamie isn’t too fond of pictures, so Marissa thought it was a little odd, but went with it! Jamie proposed to Marissa on the beach at the resort, with the Magic Kingdom castle in the background! It couldn’t have been more perfect for the couple! And it was so amazing that Jamie incorporated Marissa’s friend in the special occasion as well! Marissa loves to say: That was the best day of my life…so far! 😉
