Marisol and Eli grew up in the same church since they were both very little. Their parents had known each other for years prior to them officially meeting. Funny thing although they grew up in the same church they had never meet or crossed paths before. But on February of 2016 they both served in a conference at their church doing production. After the event Eli approached Marisol and sparked conversation. They remained acquaintances, it was not until a game night in the summer of the same year they meet that they exchanged contacts. They started a friendship and made it official on January 7th 2017 the following year. The rest is history. #therestiscastro

Let’s start off by saying Eli takes the trophy for the best surprise proposal! After almost five years of dating Eli decided it was time to put a ring on Marisol’s hand. They have shared many happy moments together. They have build a beautiful relationship that many have been apart of. This is the start to their forever… The week leading up to the proposal Eli had told Marisol he was going to be having an open house (Eli is a realtor) on the weekend that the proposal would take place. Known of this information Marisol decided to plan a day in San Francisco with her parents on that Saturday of the surprise proposal. Marisol got ready that Saturday with the idea that she was going to take pictures and spend the day in the Bay with her parents. While Eli a couple of friends and his family were all getting ready for the surprise proposal Marisol had no idea what was happening. Marisol’s parents were in on the surprise so as they distracted her in the Bay Eli and his family set up the ultimate surprise proposal. Marisol always talked about how dreamy a romantic beach proposal would be. Clueless Marisol walked down Baker Beach in San Francisco along with her parents to a hidden spot where she saw the beautiful set up. With watery eyes she walked up to the love of her life. Eli delivered a beautiful set up of huge red letters saying MARRY ME with a candle walk way and rose petals. Marisol is a hard person to surprise, Eli always told her that she would never know when he would propose. Surely enough she had no idea and this remained a surprise proposal. Together with their family and some friends as witnesses Eli asked the love of his life to marry him. It was everything Marisol had ever wished for and with the big yes the couple will be sealing the deal on September 17th 2022.

Our faith and trust is in the Lord and it’s because of him that we are living and thriving || We love to spend as much time together as we can, here are some of the things we enjoy doing together. We spend a lot of time together but Fridays are our date nights. We love to go for dinner and a movie sometimes we switch it up. Hiking is something we enjoy doing together finding scenic hikes to go on are always something we look forward to. In the summer we love to go swimming in beautiful clear water holes here in California. We spend half of our summer swimming in that beautiful crystal clear water. The beach is also something we enjoy together the salty hair and feet full of sand are a delight. There are also days we take it easy and love to enjoy time with our families. We spend afternoons laughing, cracking jokes and cooking with our families. On days we prefer to take it easy together as a couple we enjoy watching movies and watching the sunset out in the country. We are suckers for country music and enjoy going to country concerts together. (Fun fact Eli used to hate country music but Marisol got him into it, now they both enjoy it together) Road-trips are essential for us often we try to hit the road and explore new things together.
