Voted one of the best courthouses in America, Downtown Sylva is a must see when visting. Check out the Hallmark-esque town while walking around with a pint in the Sylva Social District, listening to live music in the park on Friday night, and eating/shopping local. You might even recognize some scenes from the movie "Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri".
Our FAVORITE local brewery! Grab a pint and sit outside while listening to live music. The Cosmic carry-out food truck in the back has the BEST burger you will ever eat. The bride and groom recommend Spaceman or Soulvation on tap. There is also a second brewery location with more outdoor space in Dillsboro.
Deep creek is super fun if you want something outside of a typical rafting trip. Rent a tube on the way up the drive and follow the signs to the top of river. Also, an easy and beautiful hike with a waterfall if you don't want to get in the water.
Jump on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad in Bryson-City (one town over from Sylva) and ride through the mountains. You might even see the infamous railroad crash from the Movie "The Fugitive". Clickity Clack Ridin the Track!!
Hike the strenuous terrain of Pinnacle Park, a 7 mile trek that ascends more than 3,000ft in elevation.
