Train
Once you arrive to Milan Malpensa Airport, you need to get transportation to Milano Centrale Train Station. There is an express train that takes you from the airport to Milano Centrale in about 50 minutes. Tickets start at $15. You can download the Trenord app or buy tickets at the machines.
Train
This is Milano Centrale train station, the primary hub for high-speed trains in Milan. The train station is about 45 minutes from the airport. You will take the train to Varenna. There are direct trains to Varenna. The train ride is about an hour and only about $10-14.

Navigazione Laghi is the ferry service for Lake Como. You can take the Ferry from Varenna to Bellagio. The ferry is a short trip only about 30 minutes. The ferry is only about $10. Do not choose the traghetto option that is the ferry transportation for cars.
Travel Note
There are several private transfer services from Milan (especially the airports) to Bellagio (Lake Como). The most cost effective transfer would be to take the train from Milan → Varenna and then private transfer/taxi from Varenna → Bellagio or surrounding towns (depending on location of accomodations)
