We’re getting married!!!

We first crossed paths in middle school—Marisa in 7th grade, Karl in 8th—two kids who shared classes, quick smiles, and the occasional quiz question, never realizing how important those small moments would become. Years later, fate gave us a nudge. At Ashlynn’s 21st birthday dinner, she mentioned that her (now) husband Sam was living with Karl. A simple “How’s he doing?” turned out to be the spark Ashlynn had been playing wingwoman for. A few days later, Karl reached out, and something just clicked. Their first date in St. Augustine was filled with nerves, laughter, and an unforgettable moment when Karl spilled an entire drink across the table. Instead of awkwardness, they both laughed when he referred to Marisa being in the restaurant field and needing to “help him”—one of those perfect, effortless moments that felt like the beginning of something real. They officially started dating on November 7, 2022, and exactly three years later, on November 7, 2025, Karl proposed. Now they’ll be getting married—full-circle—on November 7, 2026.
