Forever and ever, Amen.

Greg and I met online in July of 2017. After three days of talking, there was clearly a connection between us, so we decided to go on our first date! We met for lunch at Fuzzy's in Waukesha, and then decided instead of ending our date there that we wanted to hangout a little bit more. I had an appointment that afternoon to go get new tires put on my vehicle, and Greg offered to follow me to my appointment, and bring me back when my car was done. We dropped my car off and decided to head back into Downtown Waukesha to walk around enjoy the shops! As we were walking, we stumbled across one of the many bridges that crosses over the Fox River. We stopped there for a just a breif moment, when Greg looked over at me and said, "So, do you want to do this?" Not knowing what he was talking about, I responded with "Do what?" and he simply responded with, "Us." And now, here we are. 5 years later. The best first date I could have ever hoped for.

Almost three years after that first date, Greg surprised me in the best way possible. Not knowing, I agreed to do a couples photoshoot with my sister in law, Sami! She was relatively new in photography, which to me just meant she wanted more practice. My only requests? Pictures in front of the antique mall that Greg and I stopped at on our first date, and the bridge where he asked me to be his girlfriend. After taking pictures all around the Downtown Waukesha area, we headed toward the bridge for a few final shots. When we got to the bridge, Greg was acting a little bit weird, but I didn't think anything of it. We sat down on the bridge while Sami snapped a few photos. Apparently, Sami & Greg had a whole code word system down, cause as soon as we stood back up, Sami said, "Well, I think that's unless there are any other pictures you wanted?" Then it was Go-Time. Greg then turned to me and started off with "This isn't the only reason why we are here. You know you drive me nuts but...." And that's all the both of us can remember him saying from that point on, but at some point he dropped to one knee and asked me to be by his side forever in the place that it all started. I said yes to forever in the same place I said yes to "Us," three years prior.
