Maid of Honor
Natalie and Marisa met in 9th Grade dancing on the Wayzata Trojet Dance team. As Natalie moved to California post high school, the two have fine-tuned their long term relationship which includes hour (+) long phone calls, blocks of texted life updates, and annual trips to see each other. No matter how many times Natalie coaches Marisa on how to properly say "Bag", or "Boots" (with much patience) Marisa cannot master the pronunciation without giving away her MN accent... Natalie still lets Marisa come out in public with her in SF.
Best Man
Jake and Duncan met in middle school and have been close friends ever since. In fact, Jake and his now-wife Anna introduced Duncan and Marisa during their sophomore years of high school, helping form the "hexagon of doom," one of the greatest social clubs of the 21st century. Also, Jake likes to mention how many parties he invited Marisa to in college to try and get Duncan and Marisa hanging out again. Jake's interests include taking care of his new golden retriever puppy, trains, going to the cabin, board games and spending time with his 38 cousins.
Bridesmaid
LaChelle and Marisa met freshmen year of college and began living together their junior year. This dynamic duo has spent many hours perfecting various workout classes, attending farmers markets, trying new restaurants, and walking around Summit Ave in St. Paul house hunting for dream homes. As LaChelle currently holds the title of living with Marisa the longest; Duncan has been instructed to go to LaChelle with any questions regarding Marisa's at home habits.
Groomsman
David and Duncan became good friends in high school, staying close ever since. The two moved to Seattle after graduating college. Fondly and nervously, Duncan recalls driving "the biggest uHaul trailer ever" with a way-too-small jeep from Minneapolis to Seattle with David. In Seattle, the two spent countless hours going out, at the gym and hanging out at their apartment / house. David's interests include deadlifting more than you, optimizing the ad throughput on your Kindle Device, coffee, playing guitar and reading.
Bridesmaid
Hana and Marisa were random freshmen year roommates and thank goodness. Since their first day of college Hana has been a staple in Marisa's life, they even worked at the same company for a few years which you can imagine included many lunches and "breaks". Today even distance doesn't get in the way of regular phone calls and Asian take out nights, these two can always pick up where they left off. Hana had never eaten Asian take out prior to meeting Marisa, it's a good thing they met, just ask Hana.
Groomsman
Brett and Duncan became friends in high school. More recently, the two lived together as roommates in an apartment in downtown Minneapolis. There, they spent their time being critical of the final season of GoT (could've been better), mixing liquors that shouldn't be mixed, doing average-at-best at online smash bros and hosting fun gatherings for their friends. Brett's interests include pwning noobs with PK Fire Combos, whiskey, playing in a band, CROSSFIT and dominating business school.
Bridesmaid
Cassidy and Marisa met while pledging for the University of St. Thomas Business Fraternity (yes, you did read that correctly, they are 'brothers') and they quickly became friends. Once in a class together they decided they were the perfect match for writing a paper, Marisa checks the facts ~28 times, Cassidy makes the paper more interesting, I'd say that translates into their everyday relationship as well. There are guideline's to missed phone calls between Cassidy and Marisa; 1 Missed Call: 'Just calling to say hi' 2 Missed Calls: 'You may have ignored my first call, I'll try again because I have time, and I have some interesting things to share" 3 Missed Calls: "Real emergency"
Groomsman
Duncan and Phil met in high school and have been friends ever since. The two share memories of playing nerf guns in high school (no shame), hiking trips, playing basketball and frisbee, among many other things. Duncan also had fond memories of visiting Phil in college at Berkeley, and more recently in San Francisco. Also, fun fact- Phil's the only groomsman that Duncan wasn't roommates with at one point (excluding family) Phil's interests include surfing before work (I'm serious), biking long distances, kicking his leg out while shooting a jump shot in basketball (Philibuster!) and saving the world, one line of code at a time.
Bridesmaid
Amanda and Marisa have a relationship that aligns more with sisters than cousins, from a young age Amanda let Marisa be her shadow and to this day the pair talk almost every day. Amanda is patient, talented, courageous, and big-hearted in everything she does and Marisa is honored to have Amanda standing by her side. Amanda changed a few of the "facts" from Legally Blonde to make it more "PG" for Marisa before she was 13, The age at which Marisa figured it out the truth is still up for discussion...
Groomsman
Mike is Marisa's brother and Duncan's very excited to have him be a part of the wedding party. While Duncan met Mike back in high school, they're spent much more time together recently, including when Duncan and Marisa visited Mike in his NYC "habitat" last year. There, Mike gave Marisa and Duncan a tour of the city like a true New Yorker, and it was awesome. Mike's interests include traveling, sharing embarrassing facts about Marisa, Arsenal, being absolute buds with his apartment doorman, and getting excited about the 'wolves next season (we'll always be better next year...)
Bridesmaid
Marisa is thrilled to be gaining a sister, especially in Anna who has been so welcoming, generous, and thoughtful over the many years. Duncan and Marisa are so lucky to have such a wonderful support system in Anna and are thankful she and Charlie now live in MN again! Anna influenced many preferences for her younger brother that Marisa is particularly fond of i.e. Music taste, cool date location ideas (Read: a date to Bryant Lake Bowl in high school) and getting him hyped on cooking with Hello Fresh to list a few.
Groomsman
Charlie and Duncan met years ago, and Charlie is Duncan's brother in law. After living on different coasts for a few years, they're now close proximity in Minneapolis and able to spend more time together. Duncan remembers visiting Charlie and Anna in D.C. and helping surprise Charlie at his Bachelor party in NYC, all of which were great times. Charlie's interests include going on world tours with his rock band, making funny faces in photos, The Room, pestering Sunbeam, writing dope legal briefs, board games and Star Wars.
Personal Attendant
Lesley and Marisa's friendship began when Lesley said ‘I think we should be friends”, and here we are today. The pair fondly refers to their hang outs as "adventures", which include many Museums, Art shows, Twins games, Yoga classes and vacations all typically ending with a dinner date where they share food, champagne and the conversation never slows. Lesley is co-owner of a stunning floral business called Pepper Penn Design House, that will be the florists for Marisa and Duncan's wedding day.
Groomsman
Noah and Duncan were randomly paired roommates during their freshman years of college. The two shared many nights studying (admittedly, Noah more than Duncan...), countless "average" meals at the dining hall, and they made a pretty good beer pong team. Duncan also remembers spending time at Noah's family's cabin in Maine and meeting his family and dog Rufus, which was all really fun. Noah's interests include Alexander Ovechkin, calculus study dates (ask him), medical school, and he was a proud member of the rugby team in college.
