Donovan and I (Marisa) are lucky to share an amazing mutual friend, Zoe Fulco. Zoe was out with Donovan and some friends when she brought up that she had a single friend (me!) who was looking for a genuine, nice guy. She showed Donovan a few photos of me, and he was in….naturally. Not long after, Zoe sent me a picture of Donovan at the bar with a googly eye stuck to his forehead, looking like the biggest goofball ever. She told me he was interested in meeting me. I immediately texted back: “YES!!!” But I also confessed I was way too shy for a date and wanted to meet him in a group setting first. A few days later, Zoe arranged for all of us to meet up, me and my girls, him and his boys, at Lucky Joe’s, our local Irish pub. Donovan and I hit it off right away. We ended the night at another bar, dancing and showing off our “impressive” moves. We fell for each other quickly after that and have been best friends and soulmates ever since.
